Sarah’s mother arrives, along with her rabbits, her chickens and a cat. Her plan is to stay through the summer but if she likes it she may well stay for good. Any thoughts that she might be on holiday, however, are quickly banished as Sarah puts her in charge of her on-line shop selling locally sourced organic produce on the internet. She also gets her up at five in the morning to go on a honey sourcing mission, resulting in silly outfits and clouds of angry bees.
Meanwhile Richard heads off to help an English family struggling with their own renovation project. They are running out of cash and need some income fast. Richard suggests building a wooden lodge and renting it out during the lucrative summer months. They’re cheap, quick to assemble and you don’t need planning permission…at least that’s what he thinks.
All of this plus the usual mix of stunning scenery, sunshine, and Italians’ eye view of the Brits abroad.
