Selling Houses Australia

Episode Guide

Railway Cottage

Series 5 · Episode 2

Being close to transport has always been a big positive in real estate, but there is such a thing as being too close. Like the railway tracks being three metres away from your house! When Ross bought his heritage-listed cottage in Heathcote, the noise from the trains was never an issue. He purchased it as an investment property with his wife, and never thought he would have to live there. But a few years later Ross’ marriage broke down, so he moved into the tired run down cottage with his 19-year-old son Josh. He’s been trying to sell the house for almost a year, but the trouble is nobody is willing to pay the top dollar Ross needs to cover his debts.
