MT MARTHA

Series 1 · Episode 3

This is a luxury house on a new estate, but nobody is buying. If Lisa and her husband Jamie don’t sell the house, they will be bankrupt. The Evans family have had more than their fair share of bad luck. Lisa has beaten two bouts of breast cancer and a divorce has left her with a mountain of legal bills. The house may be luxurious, however it lacks soul. The stark white interior has precious little furniture and the backyard is a desolate wasteland. After two years on the market the family is desperate. Can we turn this house into a home and will the Evans family get their asking price come auction day?

Love the show. Fantastic makeover. The house came to life and looked sooOO much larger filled with designer themes and some colour. A beautiful, stunning home. The garden work really finished off the makeover and looks terrific. Viv. Victoria.

Paintwork & garden great. Don't think much of the Decorator though. Last week I preferred the client's tastes & this week the bright orange 'paintings' , among other things, were dreadful !!! Otherwise am enjoying the show more than I thought I would what with a presenter from the UK!!! Cheers DB

It's amazing how this couple wanted help to sell, yet she felt she knew more about decorating than the professional. She obviously didn't as two years unsold showed. Have found that other sellers are similar. I am sure their clutter or personal items are not thrown away, but stored and to me any help should be appreciated. Also find that they are not prepared to realise that prices of houses have dropped and will not budge on their idea of a selling price. Anything is only worth what someone will pay for it.
