Today one in three families in the UK employs some form of domestic help: from housekeepers to personal assistants, from au pairs to house managers. But finding the right match can be as difficult as finding love. Are their annoying habits too annoying to tolerate? Or is a domestic match made in heaven just around the corner?
Each week, two families are given the chance to ‘road-test’ three hand picked candidates over three days. But it’s not just the employers doing the road test. After each road test, the candidates and employers come face to face to discuss the good, the bad and ugly of the trials. Home truths and candid revelations come out as the applicants discover who has been offered the job (if anyone) and who hasn’t, and there’s no room for beating around the bush when it comes to decision time. Will some great domestic matches be made or will the tests prove that you just can’t get the staff?... Read more.
