Young Queensland couple Doug and Yvette have lived in a shed on their idyllic 10 acre property in the Gold Coast hinterland for the last two years. Originally they planned to build an architect designed house from scratch but the costs were too high. Not discouraged, they sought an alternative. On a whim they bought a discarded one hundred year old Queenslander that they plan to move to their property a journey that will cover 130 kilometres with the old house split in two, precariously carried on separate trucks. Negotiating the winding lush hinterland is already proving to be a logistical challenge but they're determined to make it work. The house will be lifted off the ground with a whole new level constructed underneath along with a large contemporary pavillion that will be joined to the house as an open space living area.
