The Goggleboxers open up on life as new parents through Coronavirus.
The Coronavirus pandemic has made a significant impact on everyone's lives around the world, halting our normal way of life as we know it.
And for Matty and Sarah Marie, raising their four-month-old son, Malik through the pandemic has been an experience no-one could have predicted.
The Gogglebox family have taken to Instagram to share their new lives and reveal how it has impacted their experience as new parents.
Sarah Marie was due to go back to work in March at the end of her maternity leave, but with the new restrictions, the makeup artist reveals she's now lowering her expectations and taking things day by day.
The family had only just moved in to their new house when the crisis hit, meaning their renovation plans have been put on hold.
"Another day at home and making the most of it,' says Sarah Marie. "Today we had some fun family time in our backyard. We filled up our little blue shell and Malik had his first little swim. We stayed away from the beaches and public areas to be safe.
"I pray you are all doing the same and wish everyone love and health."
Her husband, Matty has also shared his outlook on the matter, urging people to take precautionary measures seriously and stay home to protect everyone.
Sharing an adorable photo of him and his baby son, the Gogglebox star wrote a powerful message:
"We are trying to fight creatures we can’t even see but nevertheless they are just as deadly," he writes.
"Every time you step outside, think about why, think about who you’re taking with you and what you need, go get it and come straight back.
"It’s not ideal, but things could always be worse than sitting in a warm house. This is not forever."
The couple have continuted to show their public support of one another, with Sarah Marie writing, "Well said husband," under Matty's post.
Their messages have resonated with fans across the country, with one person writing, "Well said mate. Thank you for giving so many people joy including my family. Stay safe and see you on the other side."
"Very raw and true. Sending love and light to you and your family," another said.
In these uncertain times for everyone, we can count on the Goggleboxers to connect us and bring some love to the forefront.
