Gogglebox Australia

Gogglebox extra – What you didn’t see this week on TV: 'This is as good as porn'

The Goggleboxers experience a mouth-watering culinary adventure - until it's cut short.

Food series are always a treat to watch - whether you're witnessing spectacular landscapes or the delicious foods being cooked and prepared, and leaves you feeling ravenous for that exact dish.

And while the Goggleboxers experienced a high level of 'food porn' when they joined chef, Fast Ed from Better Homes and Gardens, the end product was perhaps less of a climax.

The Goggleboxers join Fast Ed as he takes them to a watermelon farm in Western Australia's iconic Bungle Bungle ranges.

Emmie notices they look like "breast with little nipples on the top" - but after that's cleared up, we go to the flat-ground farm where Ed chooses his watermelon. Even after seeing this, Matt Dalton is still a bit confused: "Are watermelons from the ground or from a tree?"

Back to Ed - and he chooses a watermelon before opening it up to camera. Jad is the first to say he "loves, loves, loves" watermelon, and the Goggleboxers are all excited to see what dish Ed will make with it.

Now in the middle of a park, Ed begins making the dish: chocolate silk custard with a watermelon top. Adam says that custard's in his "slurp zone", providing sound effects to go along with the slurp.

Ed whips up the luxuriously rich custard and pours into bowls, with Matty noting, "This is as good as porn."

As the chef presents the finished product, the Goggleboxers wonder where the rest of the watermelon has gone. "There's only four pieces of watermelon on there!," Sarah Marie points out.

And Matty rounds it up when he says, "He went all the way to wherever the f*** he was to find a watermelon, and put four pieces in a custard!"
