The makeup artist reveals the heartbreaking moment she realised her beauty company was over.
The Coronavirus pandemic has affected everyone on a global scale, with thousands losing their businesses and livelihoods.
And on the sixth episode of Gogglebox, Sarah Marie experienced the confronting moment when she learned her beauty company would come to a halt.
While watching Scott Morrison's most recent national address, the Prime Minister announced further restrictions on non-essential businesses, including beauty.
While Jad and Matty shared their personal frustrations over not being able to get laser hair removal, Sarah Marie, a makeup artist who runs her own company revealed a sombre tone when she realised what this meant for her:
"That's me done," she said coldly. "I'm glad you guys are worried about your hair because that's literally my whole career down the toilet."
When the news swapped back to My Kitchen Rules, the Goggleboxer was still in shock.
"How am I supposed to go back to this when I've just lost my job?"
The 31-year-old only recently came back to her business in March after taking maternity leave to look after her newborn son, Malik.
Sarah Marie wasn't the only Goggleboxer who revealed they had to shut down their business, as her co-couch companion, Jad recently shared his own heartbreaking news of closing down his restaurant.
Upon posting his devastating news, Sarah Marie shared her support when she wrote, "So upsetting. All we can do is stay strong and pray this all works out every soon."
We hope both Sarah Marie and Jad get back on their feet soon.
