While his friends prepare for the arrival of their first child, it seems Jad has some baby news of his own in store.
He's the ultimate third wheel who crashes Matty and Sarah Marie's house each week and has no qualms in making himself comfortable, except for when he's palming off Bane's violent affections.
And while he's bascially part of the furniture at the Fahd household, Jad has revealed he's hoping to fly the nest and start his own family.
"There’s no denial," he says. "Everyone that knows me well knows that I love kids, and I really want to start a family of my own."
While Jad recoils at birthing shows on TV and furiously wipes Bane's drool off his clothes, the business owner admits he does love kids. "Having two nephews who are under two has made me clucky," he says, "I’ve babysat them, changed their nappies, fed them bottles, put them to sleep, bathed them, I’m good."
And as he watches Matty and Sarah Marie prepare for the birth of their own baby, it only encourages Jad to want to start his own family. "I think being around Matty and Sarah, when the kid’s going to be born, it’s just going to amplify that. So, all in good time I hope, but it's definitely in the plans."
But Jad may have too much experience of dealing with pregnant women after spending so much time with Sarah Marie throughout the last few months.
"I’ve learnt a lot hanging out with pre-pregnant Sarah, to trying to get pregnant-Sarah, to pregnant Sarah," he says.
"Last season, Sarah was actually in the early stages of pregnancy," Matty explains, "Obviously we hadn’t told anyone, so Jad was copping the blunt end of Sarah’s hormones without any kind of context.
"Sarah ripped him new one for using the hairdryer while she was sleeping, and Jad’s looking at me like, ‘Man, what’s going on?’ And I couldn’t tell him! I was just like, ‘Bro, I don’t know. She’s just not in a good mood today," Matty laughs.
But now that the exciting news is out in the open and the pregnancy is running smoothly, the new parents can plan ahead and start delegating some babysitting duties.
"I’ve got full faith in him. Jad’s good with kids," Matty says. "It’ll be more like we’ll know where Jad is if we leave the baby with him," Sarah Marie adds.
And Jad is already planning future adventures with their son.
"I reckon we’re actually gonna be really good mates," he says. " I can't wait to take the baby out shopping with me. He’ll be a babe magnet.
"We’ll start off in Bondi Junction and work our way around," he says cheekily. "I can’t wait for Bane to be jealous."
