Gogglebox: Jad announces he’s been asked to be godfather

The Goggleboxer has proudly shared the heartwarming and very exciting news.

While there's been no news yet on whether Jad has been named godfather of Matty and Sarah's baby, Malik, the Goggleboxer has confirmed that he's been asked to carry out the honourable duty for his baby nephew.

Taking to Instagram, the business owner shared a photo of himself holding a box with the exciting question, "Will you be my godfather?" written on the inside cover.

"I’m completely blessed and honoured to be the Godfather to my nephew Christian," the Goggleboxer posted. "With the guidance and support from the Lord I hope to be a good role model, guide you on the right path and be there for you for life.

"I hold this title close to my heart as I can’t wait to be your best friend, mentor and educator.

"Thank you to my sister and brother in law for trusting me with this role. I promise to do my best"

Jad's followers were quick to congratulate him, with one saying, "Congratulations Jad. I'm sure you'll be the perfect roll model to your nephew," while another wrote, "I could think of nobody more suited to the role of new godfather."

This is the third newphew Jad has welcomed, but the first time he's become a godfather. While he hasn't yet been asked by fellow couch critics, Matty and Sarah Marie, we can already see what a devoted godfather he is and will be.

Congratulations, Jad!
