Anastasia reveals the 'horrifying' moment her daughter had an anaphylactic attack just before Mother's Day.
"My heart is still shaking," the Goggleboxer tells LifeStyle.
Just yesterday, Anastasia shared the news that any parent dreads - her daughter suffered an anaphylactic attack from a severe reaction she had to cashews.
"[Seeing someone go into anaphylactic shock] is horrific," she says. Her 19-year-old daughter, Leah unkowingly ate a yoghurt which had cashews in it, and immediately went into an episode.
"I was screaming, telling Gab that Leah just had yoghurt with cashews in it. He was telling me to get the epi-pen, I just froze.
"We should have been more careful, knowing that Leah is allergic to nuts."
Leah was given the epi-pen and was rushed to hospital where she stayed overnight.
"It took about five hours for her body to get back to normal," Anastasia explains.
But ever the outspoken Goggleboxer, she mother of two reveals the silver-lining of the experience.
"After she was bettter, I said, 'Oh well, your big lips looked good while they lasted because they so swollen, it was like you had botox!"
All jokes aside, Anastasia reveals to LifeStyle that Leah is now doing much better.
"She's home now. She's exhausted and her body feels weak. She's still a bit bruised from all the needles she had yesterday, but she's fine.
"She slept all night. The drugs made her drowsy but I kept checking on her.
"The hospital is literally around the corner from our house, so the doctor said us to come back if there were any problems."
Anastasia explains that this was Leah's third attack at 19-years-old, with her first happening in 2002 when she was just a year old.
"I guess we have done well only having three, but it's life-threatening. Each episode is life-threatening."
The Goggleboxer adds that her daughter was also at the doctors earlier that day for a sprained wrist, which she got a cast for. "She didn't have a great day, poor girl."
We sincerely hope that Leah makes a swift recovery and we send our thoughts to Anastasia and her family.
