Gogglebox announce a big change during the Coronavirus

Some big calls have been made to ensure the safety of our beloved Goggleboxers.

While we all stay safe in the confines of our own homes, the Goggleboxers have been appearing on our screens every Wednesday, making us laugh and bringing us all together in these uncertain times.

And while our favourite families have been staying safe at home, a few will be adding extra precautions while isolation restrictions continue.

While Jad continues his home-delivery service from his restaurant, The Picnic Burwood, he'll be appearing on FaceTime at Matty and Sarah Marie's house, still in 'his chair', to make sure that baby Malik isn't exposed to any further risk.

But don't panic, he'll still be bringing his hilarious one-liners to the show - he just won't be fighting off Bane while he does it.

Also, art experts, Mick and Di have also decided to focus on their health and will be taking some time off from the couch.

"It's only because of our age," Di says. "Gogglebox is still going on, but because we're in our 70s, we're technically at higher risk. But hello, realistically, Mick and I are probably healthier than people half our age!"

"Even more than a lot of 50-year-olds," Mick adds. "We definitely feel discriminated against," he laughs.

However, the couple say they're ok with skipping a bit of MAFS for the time being. "I'm very, very relieved," Di says. "The other the plus is, there's no football so we don't have to watch that on TV, either."

"There's a lot of people that will miss Survivor, MAFS, MKR, I've forgotten the acronyms for the others," Mick notes. "But I don't think we're going to lose a lot of sleep over it."

While we'll miss their hilarious dry sense of humour, we can expect to see them back on the couch in the next season of Gogglebox.

Grandmother, 91-year-old Emmie Silbery will continue to stay in isolation in the home she shares with Kerry, but you may even catch a glimpse of her through FaceTime now and then!

While there are a few changes taking place, don't worry -  you'll still be able to experience all the heartwarming and hilarious moments from everyone else as they continue to join us each week on Gogglebox
