While watching America’s Got Talent, Jad shares a fond memory with Sarah-Marie and Matty.
After being spellbound by a performer showing off a very nifty card trick, Jad reveals he always thought of himself as somewhat of a magician.
“After watching magic shows and stuff, I used to stare at a cup and tell myself that I can make that cup move and I’d stare at it for like half an hour and be like move, move, lift, move,” he explains
Matty and Sarah-Marie look at Jad and seem on the verge of laughter.
“How did you go with that?” Matty asks.
“Obviously I failed, but at least I tried,” Jad replies.
Yes Jad, you gave it a red hot go at the very least.
All an illusion
While Jad’s career in magic and illusion didn’t take off, it seems the other Goggleboxers were taken in by the America’s Got Talent card trickster, Shin Lim.
Keith seems to know exactly how Shin is performing his tricks: “He’s got big hands, he could be hiding ten packs underneath them.”
While Matt is just plain bewildered: “That’s seriously messed up.”
But he has Anastasia’s motor running: “He’s turning me on.”
Although not everyone was on the edge of their seat. Holly looked on with a very unimpressed face – for all we know she could have been watching paint dry.
Maybe magic isn’t for everyone, after all.
