Fat Family Diet

About the Show

About the Show

With 25% of all adults and 16% of kids now classed as clinically obese, British families are the fattest in Europe, and coach, clinical hypnotherapist, author and motivational trainer, Steve Miller, has had enough. He accepts statements like "it's our genes" or "we've got no time to cook fresh food" as excuses that hold no truth; it's his opinion that most people are fat because they eat too much food. This series sees Steve set to work transforming six fat families, breaking their bad habits, drastically reducing the mountains of food they eat and creating a whole new regime to help them lose weight. Moving in with a different family in each episode, Steve's tough love approach uses one intensive week of shock tactics to help the years of denial come to an end and make the family recognise that things have got to change. When the week is up, the family members are all tagged with a monitor that reports every single step and piece of activity back to Steve, 24/7. But when, 12 weeks later, Steve returns to check their weight, will they have shed the kilos?

Simone, we can't rely on willpower as it's a fleeting emotion. That's why overweight people struggle to maintain it.

Does anyone know the name of the salon that the Huzzeys went to during their programme? I couldn't see the name properly when watching. I think it began with Look.
