To prove this, he is about to put his money where his mouth is and risk his professional reputation.
The UK’s colourful antiques wheeler-dealer and Lovejoy look-alike David Dickinson (Bargain Hunt) is back in the new six-part series Dealing with Dickinson. David is giving £50,000 of his own money to six amateurs, to see if they can succeed in the antiques trade, buying, restoring and re-selling antiques with just six weeks training.
Each week, David Dickinson will introduce his team of novices to different antique genres and set them tests to win more of his money to spend. David will accompany his team to provincial salerooms and the great auction houses where they will bid for high end antiques.
With a major international antiques fair on the horizon, any profit the novices make is theirs. But all the losses are his!
