Can't Get the Staff is off to a bad start even before it's gone to air. The first line of its first ad is: "The hoi polloi are hiring". "Hoi polloi" does NOT mean "the cream of society". It means the common, everyday, riff-raff masses. From the Greek for "the many". The hoi polloi don't hire - they GET hired - if they're lucky.

How hard is it to check in a dictionary?
