Actress/comedienne/writer Maureen Lipman has been a regular face on television and in the theatre for over 30 years. In this series she embarks on an inspirational and fascinating journey in the era of Art Deco Designs.
The series revolves around the restoration of Les Lumieres, a stunning house in St Brelade, Jersey, which had been left to decay for over 50 years. Watch in awe as the black faience glass bathroom is lovingly returned to the way it once was. Follow the transformation of the grounds, which were also designed by Grayson, from a blanket of brambles into a sumptuous garden complete with a tennis court and kitchen garden.

The Art Deco adventure also finds Maureen travelling the length and breadth of the UK as she searches out others who have played an important role in preserving the nation’s 1930s heritage. So take a glamorous step back to this celebrated era.... Read more.
