For animal heroes: Dr Jeff: Rocky Mountain Vet
Dr Jeff Young (AKA the Rocky Mountain Vet) has a busy clinic near Denver in Colorado. It's called Planned Pethood Plus, and it's here that the vet slash animal hero treats about 80,000 local furry, feathered, or four-legged friends. Dr Jeff puts animals first, and regularly performs pet procedures at little to no cost too, which is the clinic's modus operandi.
It's Animal Planet's most popular show, and in season 4, Dr Jeff and team take a trip to a Denver homeless shelter to offer free flea spray and surgeries to the residents' pets. The crew will also jet off to Mexico and Romania to provide much- needed medical services to animals in need.

While Dr Jeff performs rare surgery on a puppy, the team try to save the life of a kitten named Hope. Plus, a dog bought online fights a deadly disease. Watch it on Foxtel here.
For your GOT withdrawals: Britannia
What to do in between seasons of Game of Thrones? Find other medieval-style shows to fill in the time. Directed by acclaimed English playwright Jez Butterworth, Britannia is a pinch more factual than GOT. The nine-part series tells the tale of the second Roman invasion of Britain in 43 AD. Rome is under the rule of particularly nasty general Aulus Plautius, and the show explores the culture clash with Britain's Celtic tribes.
The show follows Christopher Nolan's Academy Award-winning Dunkirk and Netflix's royal epic The Crown, as another attempt at exploring the historical relationship between Britain and Europe since Brexit, using a little fact, and a little fiction.
For everyone: Wasted! The Story of Food Waste
Have you ever thought about what happens to the food you throw away? Get ready to be schooled by Anthony Bourdain and cast of the world's top chefs and culinary crusaders in Wasted! The Story of Food Waste.
In the US, 40% of the food created goes to waste, and food production is the single biggest cause of deforestation. While many millions go hungry, food wastage winds up in landfill. The documentary and the characters within it are on a mission to harness people's obsession with food right now – and to demonstrate how we can make the most of every kind of food, and transform scraps and rejects into amazing dishes that feed more and work to a more sustainable food system.
