They've made us laugh, they've made us cry and, most importantly, they've made us think about the big issues we see play out on our TV screens each week.
As the Goggleboxers return to the couch for season eight, we count down some of our favourite moments over the years. Is yours amongst them? Click on the video to see for yourself.
10. Employable Me sparks a Gogglebox revelation
As Sarah-Marie watched a woman with Tourette syndrome struggle to find employment on the ABC program, she opened up about what it is like to be living with Chronic Tic syndrome - which she says is "like Tourette's without the noises" - herself. While it prompted a laugh with Jad, it also opened up a wider conversation in homes about how we view those with a disability.
9. Art is subjective
It's easy to forget that when they're not on the couch, Mick and Di are successful art dealers who live and breath the subject. But that doesn't mean all the other Goggleboxers agree with their analysis of Ahn Do's portraiture.
8. Could The Real Housewives of Melbourne be civil rights crusaders in disguise?
According to Holly Dalton, Gina Liano could give Martin Luther King a run for his money.
7. What do you order at your local Chinese?
While watching Gok's Chinese Takeaway, Zina and Vivien and Lee and Keith hilariously agreed on some classic Aussie favourites.
6. Pottery gets... weird
In 1990, Ghost made the potter's wheel synonymous with sexual chemistry. Watching Adam and Symon recreate Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze's iconic scene decades later may stay with us for just as long.
5. Angie reveals her ideal man
Who knew that watching a man pulled over for suspected drink driving on RBT could see more sparks fly than an entire season of The Bachelor?
4. Talking marriage equality
Before the historic "yes" vote passed in November 2017, marriage was something that long-time couple and committed parents Wayne and Tom never thought would be in their reach. So as they watched Married at First Sight's same-sex couple walked down the aisle acrossMarried at First Sight just one year earlier the Goggleboxers' emotional response reverberated in living rooms around the country.
3. The Goggleboxers watch themselves win a Logie (on an episode of Gogglebox) in 2016.
It was a total meta moment that captured all that we love about the show - inspiring multiple Inception references to boot.
2. An awkward parenting moment turns viral
The littlest Jackson's question about where babies come way back in season one sparked one of the most memorable couch exchanges to date.
1. 24 Hours in A&E makes us all appreciate our own families
A poignant episode of the doco series summed up the feeling we all have about the ones we love - especially when it comes to Silbery matriarch Emmy.
