About The Product

Designer and writer Kevin McCloud guides us through the trials and tribulations – physical, financial and emotional – of those obsessively trying to create a unique place to live, often over many months, even years. This series features a dramatic modernist villa perched atop a crumbling cliff in Snowdonia, a Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired bachelor pad made out of four shipping containers in the Northern Irish countryside and one of the UK’s first amphibious houses on a floodplain of the Thames in Buckinghamshire.

Grand Designs Series 12 comes to DVD from August 12th.

Once again Kevin McCloud brings us an array of houses and the stresses and highs involved. Grand designs fans will not be disappointed with season 12.

I was so happy to receive this DVD as i am a great fan of the show. the series was filmed in 2012, and being released on DVD this year - so i had seen some episodes before, but many i had not.
the DVD covers all the episodes, not much in the way of special features and extras, but its great to have the episodes available on demand with no TV adds in between.

I thoroughly enjoyed the current series of Grand Designs. The architecture was amazing and I found it really fascinating. I’d highly recommend this to those who are looking for some inspiration whether it be small or large.

So many great designs and ideas. I am inspired to work on my own house.

We always enjoy Kevin McCloud, especially his enthusiasm and his connections with his ‘builders’.
His expertise and muted opinions (where sought) are an added highlight to the often rollercoaster ride these people go through.
Whether it’s an expensive folly or a budget driven dream, these journeys are always enthralling and very easy to re-watch and enjoy again.
Strongly recommended for lovers of this show, and a good introduction to the genre by a master.
