It's been three years since since the Bellas brought their signature vocals, style and attitude to become the first all-female group to win a national title. But when they're banned after a scandal that threatens to derail their last year at Barden University, the three-time defending champs worry they might have lost their harmony for good.
With only one chance left to redeem their legacy, the Bellas must fight for the win, competing in the World Championships of A Cappella in Copenhagen. As they struggle to balance the pressures of musical domination with senior angst, can the sisterhood find their sound and reclaim their spot as the world's top pitches?
Very entertaining sequel, and well worth the watch. Characters are A1 in the sequel as were in the first DVD. Would completely recommend this DVD and a must watch for M audiences over the holidays.
Movie aimed at younge viewers, but I liked it more than I thought I would ,hilarious so funny. Good acting good sound,a great feel good movie.Would watch it again.Thought it was so good I will watch number 1 now ,having seen number 2.My two teenage daughters saw the movie thought it was great to.would give 4 stars.
Thank you to the Lifestyle team for allowing me to review this movie. I didn't find this was as good as the first however I still thought it was up there, I still think it is above average. I liked seeing the new romances forming and particularly liked the scene where Fat Amy wins back and serenades Bumper. I do think that they could of touched on a little more of Beca and Jesse's relationship however. The laughs were less but still there and there were some spontaneous and clever one liners mostly thanks to Fat Amy. Add to the mix some rivalry and getting your groove back with the sisterhood, this is an enjoyable film worth watching.
If you loved the original Pitch Perfect you are sure to find something you like about the sequel. New tunes for the music lovers and some new faces freshen this one up a little. It does fall into a similar trap of many sequels following the the same plot but this one is worth a watch!
This is a great movie for anyone wanting to see a cross over between Glee and American Pie. Rebel Wilson is sharp as always and provides some good moments of humour.
Having not seen the first Pitch Perfect I didn't know what to expect however now I am going to have to watch the first to see then the 2nd again.
Definitely worth your time in my opinion
Love the girl power in the comedy and also and stuggle for each of the characters.
Think it is such a fun movie to share with your teenage daughter 15+ of course!
I dont see alot of films, and i wish i hadn't wasted time on this one. Unfortunately a pale imitation of the first chapter, inevitable when using the same jokes. The characters were less likeable, the story line barely there, predictable German stereotypes, and the inevitable fat jokes. Not worth the time spent watching it. rated 2 stars merely for the Fat Amy lake scene.
