Loved it ! I took my husband along with me ( he was not excited to begin with let me tell you ..although that changed as soon as the doco started ) and we both laughed all the way through the film . It was great. Even if you were not aware of this lady before she certainly left an impression on us. She is honest, humble and a bit of a laugh. The length of the doco was just long enough to keep you interested from start to finish. This is not a movie that we would normally go and see but it certainly changed our view. The whole experience was fantastic and I would highly recommend this doco to anyone

If you love design and love fashion you will love this documentary. I thoroughly enjoyed this documentary about a woman who, at 93, is still working and does not let age dictate how she should dress. Iris Apfel is the most inspiring woman and has such a positive approach to life. What an interesting life she has had and continues to have. I now have a new style icon. Truly amazing!

Iris is a very interesting documentary. Iris, the amazing 93 year old New Yorker, takes us on a journey through her fascinating life. Sharp as a tack, with a wonderful sense of humour, Iris shares her insightful views about the world. Acclaimed film maker Albert Maysles has created a truly wonderful documentary.

I particularly like Iris' discussions with students about incorporating life and great artistic skill into design. The documentary highlights the importance of Iris' fashion collection from a historical and artistic perspective. As a testament to the importance of Iris' collection, we watch as clothing, fabric and other items, collected from within the U.S. and other parts of the world during her many overseas buying trips, is lovingly cared for in museum collections and occasionally placed on display for the public to view and appreciate. I was engrossed in every moment of Iris' artistic, flamboyant and creative life. 5 stars.

The naturalistic style of narration with minimal editing does great justice to an interesting subject. Although some parts were repetitive, overall it was a great insight into an extraordinary person who has led a bright, colourful life.

LOVED this! Certainly not the sort of movie my husband and I would usually go and see, but we really did enjoy this documentary! Iris and her husband were so inspirational, a real reminder not to take life too seriously. Thank you so much for the opportunity to go and see it. I rate it 4 stars, although I've accidentally clicked on one and it won't let me change :(
