This New Luggage Can be Controlled Through Your Phone

First it was smart phones, watches and cars... now it's luggage!

'Smart luggage' is the latest innovation changing the way we travel.

Suitcase design company, Bluesmart, recently raised $US2 million to fund their technology-driven luggage.

The Bluesmart One suitcase - and it's slightly newer model, the Black Edition - contains a GPS location tracker, which allows you to locate your bag from anywhere you have use of your phone.

Its other features include:

  • USB ports and a batter charger, enabling you to charge you phone, laptop or other devices while travelling
  • A digital scale to help you check your luggage weight before you check in
  • A remote lock, which you can secure via your phone. It will also automatically lock itself if it's not by your side.

There are water and scratch resistant pockets on the outside of the bag, to help you carry your laptop or other useful luggage.

The suitcases are compatible with both iOS and Android phones, and range in price from USD $449-$549 ($619-$758).
