Blessed with some of the most pristine beaches in the world, Fiji is a unique island paradise located in the heart of the South Pacific.
Apart from the beautiful beaches, there's so many other picturesque parts of Fiji just waiting to be explored. Here are five of the most beautiful sights Fiji has to offer.
Fiji from the sky
Just as beautiful from the sky as it is from the ground, Fiji from the sky makes for some picture perfect moments. It’s definitely worth getting the window seat if you can to capture some shots of the descent into Fiji’s Nadi International Airport.
Marriott Resort and Spa
The Marriott Resort and Spa in Fiji is an iconic sight whether you're able to catch a glimpse from the sky, or if you're wandering through the resort at ground level.
Located in the middle of the ocean, Cloud 9 is a floating bar and watersport hotspot! Surrounded by 360 views of the ocean, Cloud 9 is a popular destination located just off the coast of Fiji’s mainland. Cloud 9 comes complete with a floating pizza bar, DJ and nearly every watersport you can think of.
Upper Navua River, Navu
One of Fiji’s best kept secrets is the Navua River. Located in the remote highlands of Viti Levu, the Navua River runs through the island, offering towering volcanic walls. You can slowly make your way down the river or if you’re into adventure, try white-water rafting.
Sawa-I-Lau Caves, Yasawa Islands
Located in the northern islands of Yasawa, the Sawa-L-Lau Caves are hidden away and only accessible by day trips via boat. The caves are made from ancient limestone and make for great photos.
There are two caves, the second of which is only accessible by swimming through an underwater tunnel. Depending how dedicated you are to getting the shot and if you have a guide, you can swim through to the second cave to get a once-in-a-lifetime photo.
The Hangar at Nadi Airport
Few airports and hangars are located on a stunning backdrop of mountains. The Nadi International Airport terminal gives travellers a perfect view of the iconic Fiji Airways hangar. Set against a backdrop of Fiji’s mountains, at sunset, sunrise and on a clear day, the hangar steals the show as one last spot for a quick snap before you go home.
Located only a four hour flight from Australia, the Island paradise is closer then what a lot of travelers think. Fiji Airways flies to Nadi twice daily from Sydney, daily from Melbourne and Brisbane and twice a week from Adelaide (plus, once a week from Sydney to Suva).
