While it's hard to escape unwelcome noises on an aircraft, one airline has a safe tip when it comes to selecting seats.
Not everyone can afford to fork out the big bucks for a first class plane experience. But you can still find a pleasant - read: quiet! - seat in economy!
While it's not easy to avoid crying babies or obnoxious people on an aircraft, there is a trick to guarantee an easier flight.
The JetBlue blog asked a pilot to answer the question: Where is the quietest seat on a plane?
His answer: in front of the wing!
"In most planes, the engines are located under the wings," pilot Christian explained.
"Sitting in front of the wing is like being behind a speaker: all of the sounds of the engine and disturbed air are projected away from you."
If you don't have any luck getting this seat, other tips are available on sites like SeatGuru, which has a seat map and tips for every plane and airline!
