Ever wondered how the rich and famous like to travel? Now, a concierge to the stars reveals some of the craziest requests he’s encountered.
With the upswing in celebrities opting for luxury home hotels when they travel, as opposed to large chains, there's even more flexibility when it comes to any outlandish requests. While this comes with a hefty price tag upwards of $6000, some people need to indulge in life’s not-so-little luxuries.
Will Mein, Luxico concierge, shares some of the craziest requests he and other Luxico concierges have managed to pull off – there’s nothing too big or small. Can you guess who they might be?
A billionaire tech-whiz wanted fresh pastries and sourdough bread delivered to his apartment at 7am every day for three weeks. Both needed to be delivered in a red bag, which was left on the doorstep of their apartment.
A visiting pop star asked the Luxico team to clear three bedrooms of a five-bedroom home they were renting so she would have space for her clothes and shoes. She was only staying for a week and wanted the extra room for her personal wardrobe. Her show clothes were kept at the venue.
One concierge sat in a beach chair for two hours on a parking spot to make sure the guest would have a convenient parking experience by a very busy beach. Now, that’s dedication.
One popstar was quite particular and asked if it was possible to re-style three properties they'd booked to match one they loved. Luxico had to change everything, the couch, the cushions – every type of furnishing you can imagine.
A good drop
An actor requested that the mini bar only be stocked with wines that matched the year of their birth. That would have had to have been the world's most expensive minibar!
