Double bed in a private cabin? Behold the highly-anticipated new business class experience.
Now this is a premium way to travel.
Qatar Airways has unveiled a "revolutionary" new business class experience - dubbed 'QSuites' - to the world's media and travel trade leaders.
The customisable suites offer a 'party of four' seating configuration plus the world's first ever double bed to be offered in business class.
Adjustable panels and movable TV monitors on the centre four seats allow colleagues, friends or family travelling together to transform their space into a private cabin - so you can work, dine and socialise together in private.
Launched at the world's largest travel trade show, ITB Berlin, the airline's Group Chief Executive, Mr. Akbar Al Baker, said the new designs will enable their passengers to "enjoy a First Class experience in Business Class."
"Our unique and patented design is a world first in many ways and challenges industry norms by offering passengers more privacy, more choice and more personalisation," he said.
Along with the new seating design and configuration, the seats themselves will be finished with hand-stitched Italian leather and satin rose gold finishing. There'll be elegant new chinaware and cutlery, luxurious bed linens and exclusive 'sleeper suits' (i.e. pyjamas) supplied by The White Company.
Qatar Airways also announced an improved inflight entertainment system and 'dine on demand' service with sharing plates - so you can really make the most of your communal cabin.
The new QSuites will be retrofitted onto the existing Qatar Airways fleet starting from June, at an estimated rate of one aircraft a month.
