New Plane Design Offers Passengers 360° View

Well, this is one way to solve who the argument about who gets the window seat.

A forward-thinking engineering company has designed the next big thing in flight technology - a SkyDeck.

The better-than-first-class luxury would involve sitting somewhat on top of the aircraft, in a little bubble that offers sweet 360 degree views.

Designers, Windspeed, want to provide travellers a new form of in-flight entertainment - as well as a new revenue stream for airlines.

"Current in-flight entertainment offerings have not changed much over the decades," the Windspeed website states.

"We wanted to come up with a product that would provide a higher level of entertainment to reduce the boredom of long flights.

"For the airlines, it could be an additional source of revenue, as passengers could be charged on a pay-per-view basis."

The proposed SkyDeck would be accessed by either an elevator or a staircase.

Windspeed has declared the SkyDeck is totally safe and sound - even built to withstand "birdstrike impact". (Phew!)
