6 Adventure Tours in the Northern Territory

Many Aussies have the Northern Territory as a bucket list holiday destination. Here are 6 amazing adventure experiences to consider when you book your trip:

1. Venture North Safari Camp
These guys specialise at heading off the beaten track and into some of the more remote parts of the NT. They operate a safari-style camp on the Cobourg Peninsula, located on most northern tip of the NT mainland. Cobourg is basically a pristine wilderness region with world-class wetlands and estuaries, lots of crocs and other wildlife, plenty of fish, mudcrabs and basically no other tourists! The tours are small group (max. 6) and basically focus on either nature, Indigenous culture or fishing or a mixture of the lot.
2. Crocosaurus Cove
Some of the biggest Saltwater crocodiles on the planet are located right in the heart of Darwin at Crocosaurus Cove. Watch the Big Croc Feed show at 11.30am & 2.30pm daily, hold a baby crocodile, check out the World's largest display of Australian reptiles, jump on our Fishing for Crocs platform and if you dare...come face to face with these massive "salties" in the Cage of Death.

5. Outback Quad Adventures
These tours take place on the oldest working station in the Northern Territory - Undoolya Station. You will explore the private Station on well-worn tracks, whizzing past grazing cattle and speeding through river bed. If you have time, you can do the overnight quad tour, where you swag under the stars in the shadows of the MacDonnell Ranges.
6. Kings Creek Station
Kings Creek Station is a working cattle/camel station with facilities for camping, accommodation and an opportunity to experience the outback either by quad (4 wheel motorbike), helicopter or camel. Basic supplies, meals and drinks can be bought at the station shop and this is the place everyone drops into on their drive between Uluru and Kings Canyon. The station is the largest exporter of wild camels in Australia and sells camels for live export, live domestic sales and meat.
