Beauty guru and author Zoë Foster Blake, shares her secrets to staying happy and healthy as a working mum.

As a busy working mum, Zoë knows all too well the struggle of finding quick and easy yet nutritious food, on the go. Here, the mother to one-year-old Sonny (with funnyman Hamish Blake) and ambassador for Yoplait Bon Appetit, shares her philosophy to staying happy and healthy.

What are your tips for staying healthy as a busy mum?

Be prepared, just like a boy scout. Don’t leave the house without snacks, (a passionfruit Yoplait Bon Appetit, for example, and nuts, boiled eggs or fruit) eat foods that replenish and fuel you where possible, and walk everywhere.

What’s your philosophy towards food and treating yourself?

I eat well 80 per cent of the time, but I really enjoy my treats, (pancakes, burgers and almond croissants are my current top three) and factor them in so that I can be excited about them, and really saviour them. They also act as a reward for finishing projects or boring work stuff. I’m a dog, basically.

How do you source your food/snack inspo?

Instagram and magazines. Also, I do bad imitations of things I eat in cafes.

What three things do you always have in your handbag?

Keys, wallet, phone.

What are your top beauty secrets as a busy mum?

Go simple but effective…. which is the perfect segue to my skin care line, Go-To, which I created to fulfil this very purpose.

What book is currently next to your bed?

We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves by Karen Joy Fowler. It’s excellent, and reminds me a bit of one of my favourite books, Special Topics in Calamity Physics.

What’s your next dream holiday destination?

The Maldives!
