In the awkward moment to end all others - Steve Harvey announced the WRONG contestant Miss Universe.
Miss Colombia was midway through her victory lap when the host interrupted with some rather unpleasant news.
She was not Miss Universe. She did not win. She had lost. (If you call first runner up a loss, which I'm sure Miss Colombia does right now.)
In one of the most unfortunate moments ever to be aired on live television, the Miss Universe Pageant host, Steve Harvey, stuffed up big time when he announced the wrong winner of the title.
While he gave Miss Colombia the crown, it was actually Miss Philippines who had earned it.
And because there's no time like the present, he sheepishly walked back on stage to stop the Columbia's celebration.
"Folks, er," he stammered.
"I have to apologise."
He paused while the crowd cheered and Miss Colombia wiped a tear of joy from her perfectly made-up face.
"The first... runner-up... is... Colombia," he eventually revealed.
"The winner of Miss Universe 2015 is the Philippines."
Miss Philippines was shocked, the crowd was divided, and Miss Colombia was just there... Standing... Awkwardly.
Then there was the most uncomfortable ordeal to be captured on TV - the ceremonial transferal of the crown to its rightful owner.
I think we can safely say, there are no winners in this situation. Except for Miss Philippines, I guess.
