Vanessa Hudgens Performs in Grease Live! Hours After Her Father's Death

Former Disney star, Vanessa Hudgens, has put on a brave face to perform the role of Rizzo in the Grease Live! tv production.

Vanessa's father passed away mere hours before the actress was due to take the stage in the much-hyped remake of the 1978 musical.

The grieving star tweeted:

"I am so sad to say that last night my daddy, Greg passed away from stage 4 cancer," she tweeted. "Thank you to everyone who kept him in your prayers.

"Tonight, I do the show in his honor."

The 27-year-old, however, managed to fly through the event, winning fans with her emotional rendition of 'There are worse things I could do'.
