Television's night of nights did not disappoint on the style front - here are our seven favourite looks from the 2017 red carpet.
Hosted last night at the Microsoft Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles, this year's Emmy Awards drew a cast of well-healed, high-style leading ladies.
As television surpasses the once more glamorous world of feature length films - the Emmy Awards have become an important event to recognise the work of our best and brightest TV actors, producers, script writers, cinematographers, costume designers, and casting directors.
It's also become more of a momentous event for celebrity style - and where recent red carpets might have been lacklustre, the 2017 Emmy Awards did not disappoint. Stars erred on the side of old world glamour - in a modern, fresh way - and without being over the top.
Here are our favourite looks from the night:
Top of the Lake star, Elizabeth Moss is having a career and a style moment. She wore a pale pink Prabal Gurung gown with matching satin pink pumps, and took out the award for Best Lead Actress in a Drama Series for The Handmaid's Tale.
Star ofThe Crown, Claire Foy looked regal in this Oscar de la Renta jumpsuit with an elegant cape draped across one arm.
Milly Bobby Brown, who was attending for her work in Stranger Things, was equal parts elegant and adorable in this Calvin Klein piece, with matching ruby-studded kitten heels.
Super stylish Westworld star Thandie Newton looked perfectly glamorous in Jason Wu.
Uzo Aduba from Orange is the New Black looked on point in a pants and skirt combination from trendy, New York based label Sally LaPointe.
Laura Dern wore a stunning, tired Proenza Schouler gown, and took out the award for Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie for Big Little Lies.
Last but not least - Nicole Kidman, who was on fire in Calvin Klein, took out Best Actress in a Limited Series, and took a moment to acknowledge domestic violence in her powerful, moving acceptance speech.
