The Future of Australian Fashion

Amongst the geometric prints and sequinned capes of established designers such as Nicola Finetti, Arabella Ramsay and Bettina Liano, 12 student designers shone the light on the future of Australian fashion.

On March 17, 2010, at the Peninsula at Central Pier, Docklands, the country’s hottest upcoming design talent presented on the runway as part of the L’Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival’s (LMFF) Student Showcase supported by Sportsgirl.

Their designs were bold, creative, inspiring and wearable. “When we see such exceptional, well considered designs we know the future of our industry is in great hands,” said Festival Director, Karen Webster. “LMFF are thrilled to provide the next generation of the Australian fashion industry the kick start and exposure for their collections.”
