The Fallout Between Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris

Yesterday we learned Taylor Swift was shacking up with super-suave Brit, Tom Hiddleston, just two weeks after her break-up from Calvin Harris.

The reaction was swift and impassioned from fans, critics and everyone with a Twitter account.

But more interesting was how the two former lovers handled the split in the very-bright spotlight.

While neither Calvin, 32, nor Taylor, 26, has formally acknowledged the tangible awkwardness of the situation, they have both made some rather cryptic social media moves.

The first we heard from either party was a rather pointed Tweet from Calvin, stating:

"Oh boy, it's about to go down." [With three skull emoji!]

This was quickly deleted (Why? Who knows!), as was the very touching and diplomatic Tweet he posted following the pair's break-up.

"The only truth there is that a relationship came to an end & what remains is a huge amount of love and respect."

Yep, gone.

With that, the illusion of an amiable uncoupling was shattered.

Going further, both Calvin and Taylor have also deleted all traces of their 15-month relationship from their social media accounts. Remember those pics from their anniversary? When they wrote adorable things in the sand and frolicked in the sea?

Gone.

Now, only a few traces of the relationship remain. Including this pic of a snowman they built over Christmas at the Swift residence:

Although, while the tag reads "Calvin Harris" some astute fans are saying it's actually her brother.

In another rather strange swipe, Calvin also stepped out today in his Yeezy sneakers - despite siding strongly with his then-girlfriend when the rapper called her a "b***h" in a song released earlier this year.

When asked what he thinks of the saga, he responded: "All good, all good. She's just doing her thing, dude."

Meanwhile, Taylor and Tom have flown away on Tay's private jet to somewhere else where prying eyes cannot get to them.

However, perhaps the weirdest part of the saga thus far is the discovery that a very astute fan actually predicted the Hiddleswift romance TWO YEARS AGO.

According to Buzzfeed, jenniiichristine wrote a little fan fiction featuring the two stars back in 2014.

"Tom and Taylor bump into each other in New York at the Met Gala in 2015, and who knows where the night just might take these two?"

Sure, she was one year off (they met at the Met Gala in 2016, not 2015) - but we can forgive that!

When asked by others how she knew where they would meet, the woman responded that it just took a Google search.

"I literally did one Google search. ONE GOOGLE SEARCH just to see what event the both would attend since they’re in 2 different fields of work, plus I wanted my research to actually make sense," she wrote on Tumblr.

"Hence how I chose the Met Gala since it could literally be the ONLY POSSIBLE EVENT that their paths could ever potentially cross [in real life]."
