The MTV Video Music Awards released their nominations for their upcoming show in August on Tuesday and among the nominees for "Video of the Year" award was of course Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood"!
However, one video was notably missing: Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda" which was one of the most talked about videos of 2014.
Minaj did not take the news well, and took to Twitter to speak her mind. She took a not-so-subtle shot at women with "very slim bodies."
If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year ??????????????????????????— NICKI MINAJ (@NICKIMINAJ) July 21, 2015
Taylor did not take the dig laying down though and shot back:
@NICKIMINAJ I've done nothing but love & support you. It's unlike you to pit women against each other. Maybe one of the men took your slot..— Taylor Swift (@taylorswift13) July 21, 2015
But NickiMinaj played innocent in her response.
Huh? U must not be reading my tweets. Didn't say a word about u. I love u just as much. But u should speak on this. @taylorswift13— NICKI MINAJ (@NICKIMINAJ) July 21, 2015
