Cult Beauty Buy: Swisse skincare clay masks

The vitamin brand we're all very familiar with has turned its hand to clay skincare - specifically, face masks that claim to tackle dull, dry and clogged skin.

Adding to the Manuka Honey skincare range already on the market, Swisse has introduced three new innovative mask products designed to address common skincare needs.

The new collection of Australian coloured clay masks delivers specific benefits, with each mask brightening, soothing or nourishing skin.

All natural

What I like about these masks is that they're not tested on animals and are free from any added harmful ingredients including parabens, SLS, SLES, synthetic fragrances or colours, petrolatum, silicones, mineral oils, PEGS, TEA, DEA, urea and peroxide.

They're kind on skin and have a cooling, soothing effect almost instantly after application.

How to use them

Cleanse your skin and then pat dry. You can apply with your fingertips to problem areas or all over your face if you want a holisitic cleanse, but for me, I found using a small brush I had got with anoher clay mask to be an easier (and less messy) way to apply the mask.

Brush or smooth the clay all over your face and let it set for around 10 minutes. The clay will harden and dry out, usually changing colours to a lighter hue. After the time has elapsed, wash it all off with warm water and a facecloth and pat dry with a towel. Your skin should feel amazing - mine did!

Which one should you choose?

Because these three new masks all tackle individual skin needs, you'll need to choose wisely in order to get the most out of your mask.

Cranberry Pore Perfecting Clay Mask

With dragon fruit extract and Australian pink clay, it's suitable for all skin types and will leave you with a luminous, smooth complexion. This brightening mask has natural acids to help prevent clogging of pores, all while absorbing excess oil and shrinking large pores for more radiant looking skin.

Matcha Tea Anti-Pollution Clay Mask

Suitable for sensitive skin, matcha green tea extract is a potent antioxidant known to reduce the appearance of stressed and tired skin. This mask also contains shiitake mushroom extract and Australian green clay to protect skin from impurities caused by toxins, pollution and environmental triggers.

Blood Orange Brightening Clay Mask

This mask targets dull, uneven skin tone and contains blood orange oil with Niacinamide to balance the appearance of hyper-pigmentation. Papaya fruit extract helps to naturally exfoliate and revitalise the skin for a more radiant looking glow and is suitable for all skin-types.

Where can you buy them?

The three new mask products are available at Chemist Warehouse, Priceline Pharmacy, Community Pharmacy and swisse.com.au for $20.99.
