Stella McCartney reveals how often she thinks we should wash our bras

The fashion designer has some pretty strong opinions on this topic.

Are you someone who washes your bra after every wear? Or maybe you wait a few times, air it out and then pop it back on before it goes in the laundry? Either way, British fashion designer, Stella McCartney has revealed she rarely washes her bras.

It's no secret that she's always been about ethical fashion, and uses vegan materials in all of her designs, so perhaps this is a way to conserve on energy and water waste?

She revealed in an interview with The Observer: "It’s my intention to stand shoulder to shoulder with the conventional houses and show that you can actually be respectful in your supply chain and manufacture.”

While speaking to the same publication, she also revealed her laundry habits.

"I wouldn’t change my bra every day and I don’t just chuck stuff into a washing machine because it’s been worn.

"I’m incredibly hygienic myself, but I’m not a fan of dry cleaning or any cleaning, really,” she said.

Aside from bras, Stella also firmly believes that a tailored suit should also never be washed. Ever.

"And the rule on a bespoke suit is you do not clean it," she told the publication. "You do not touch it. You let the dirt dry and you brush it off. Basically, in life, rule of thumb: if you don’t absolutely have to clean anything, don’t clean it."

And there you have it! Do you agree with Stella?
