See the first official photos from the royal wedding

It's a family affair in Harry and Meghan's first official wedding portraits.

Kensington Palace has released the first official photographs from the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

In one image, newlyweds Harry and Meghan posed casually on the East Terrace of Windsor Castle following their nuptials, displaying their characteristic style of simplicity and good humour.

The couple also took photos with their bridal party - 10 page boys and bridesmaids - inside the castle's Green Room.

The photo of the children featured two familiar smiling faces: second and third in-line to the throne, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. The children of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge seemed to enjoy the company of their new group of friends, beaming proudly for photographer Alexi Lubomirski.

The royal family also came together for a photo, which showed off four generations of royals.

The Queen, Prince Phillip, Charles and Camilla, William and Kate, and the newlyweds all posed gracefully for the camera, joined by the bridal party and Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland.

Sadly, Kate and Will's third child, Prince Louis, was not present.

Fashion photographer Alexi Lubomirski has been the preferred choice of Harry and Meghan and was also behind the lens of the couple's official engagement photos.

The images were released via the Royal Website as well as official social media pages, and were accompanied by a statement from the happy couple:

"The Duke and Duchess of Sussex would like to thank everyone who took part in the celebrations of their wedding on Saturday. They feel so lucky to have been able to share their day with all those gathered in Windsor and also all those who watched the wedding on television across the UK, Commonwealth, and around the world.

"Their Royal Highnesses are delighted with these official portraits taken by Alexi Lubomirski and are happy to be able to share them today. They would also like to say thank you for all of the generous messages of support they have received."

George and Charlotte are third and fourth in line to the throne. Charles is first and William second. I know it is easy to forget poor ol' Charles.
