Oscar winner Sandra Bullock has welcomed a little girl into her family!
The 51-year-old actress has adopted a three-and-a-half-year-old girl from Louisiana named Laila, (pronounced Lila).
Sandra had been fostering Laila before adopting her and she is now younger sister to Sandra’s 5-year-old adopted son Louis.
“When I look at Laila, there’s no doubt in my mind that she was supposed to be here,” the proud new mum told People magazine.
“I can tell you absolutely, the exact right children came to me at the exact right time.”
Sandra’s little family posed happily on the cover of the magazine in a beautiful series of photographs taken by Sandra’s photographer boyfriend Bryan Randall.
Sandra revealed that she knew she had made the right decision about adopting her little girl during the fostering process. She says when child protection services (CPS) visited to check in, her son made it clear he didn’t want Laila to leave.
"There was an afternoon when we were outside and Louis saw their car pull up and he ran next to Laila and asked the CPS workers why they were there," she said.
"They replied that they were there to see if Laila was okay. He replied, 'You're not going to take her away, are you?' And at that moment, I knew I could stop worrying about whether I had found the right match. It was obvious I had.
