Sam Faiers has been rushed to hospital for a brain scan after being attacked by a girl gang.
The 'Only Way Is Essex' star and her sister Billie were set upon by a group of 10 girls outside London nightclub The Jet Black Club in the early hours of yesterday morning, with Billie pushed to the ground and called a "s**g" and Sam knocked out during the incident.
After the gang stole Billie's £2,500 Mulberry handbag - thought to contain her purse, mobile phone and money - during the "horrific" attack, the pair made their way back to their native Essex.
A source said: "As soon as the 'TOWIE' two walked in and had settled on their table, they were targeted by the other girls who must have recognised them from the show.
"These girls jumped on the sisters' table and wrestled for Billie's bag, which had make-up, her phone and purse, before running off with it."
However, the trouble did not end there and the vicious group reportedly lured Sam and another pal to a field in Chigwell, telling the 20-year-old reality TV star they would give her Billie's phone back if she agreed to meet them.
When Sam arrived at the scene, she was attacked again and kicked repeatedly in the head, despite her begs for them to stop the brutal ordeal.
As the gang fled the scene of the attack after reportedly thinking they had "killed" the blonde beauty, Sam's friend dragged her into a taxi and rushed her to nearby Whipps Cross Hospital in Leytonstone, east London.
The source added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Sam and Billie were left terrified by the ordeal.
"Both Sam and Billie later went to A&E to get checked out. They are fine now, just a bit shocked, although Sam has been left with two black eyes."
A spokesperson for the sisters said: "It was an unprovoked and horrific attack. Both girls are now recovering at home."
Meanwhile, the pair have thanked their fans for their support.
Writing on her twitter page, Sam said: "Just want to say a big thank you to everyone. I love u all lots. Am resting up all day :-) thank you for your kind messages. (sic)"
Meanwhile, Billie tweeted: "Thank you to everyone for your kind and supportive tweets."
Police in Brentwood, Essex, were set to interview the sisters about the attack last night.
