Ryan Gosling has shared an incredibly moving speech in honour of his wife, Eva Mendes, after being named Best Actor at this year's Golden Globe Awards.
There are always plenty of emotional moments during awards season - and actor Ryan Gosling has provided a real tear-jerker.
Ryan has won the Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Musical or Comedy for his role as a passionate jazz musician in La La Land.
In his beautiful acceptance speech, the 36-year-old actor was quick to acknowledge the huge contribution and sacrifice of others that he owed the award to, including co-star Emma Stone and director, Damien Chazelle.
“You don’t get to be up here without standing on the shoulders of a mountain of people,” he said. And while there were so many people Ryan said he needed to thank, he wanted to highlight one in particular - his wife, actress Eva Mendez.
"While I was singing and dancing and playing piano and having one of the best experiences I've ever had on a film, my lady was raising our daughter, pregnant with our second and trying to help her brother fight his battle with cancer," he said.
"If she hasn't of taken all that on so I could have this experience, there would surely be someone else up here in front of me," he continued. "So sweetheart, thank you."
The actor then dedicated the award to the memory Eva's late brother, Juan Carlos Mendez, who lost his battle with cancer while the movie was being made.
Oh Ryan! Just when we thought we couldn't love you anymore.
