Real Wedding: Elyse Ogston & Radek Graczyk

Venue: Our lady for victories church and restaurant two, Brisbane, QLD

When Elyse, 23, met Radek, 28, at work, the pair quickly realised they were meant to be together forever. A year later Elyse was surprised with a picnic proposal and a tell-tale blue box from Tiffany & Co - the rest is history.

The bride achieved her vision of a soft, vintage, empire-line gown with a couture design from Strictly Bridal, which featured a full train, lace beaded bodice, lace cap sleeves and a 3.5 metre mantilla veil with beaded trim.

Elyse's bridesmaids complemented her beautifully in floor-length dusty mauve dresses with shoestring straps and crystal beading under the bust. "The dresses were simple yet elegant - perfect for my girls."

The couple married at Our Lady of Victories Church, a Polish church Radek's family had been going to for many years. "We had a string quartet play at our ceremony and an opera singer sang Ave Maria as I walked down the aisle. When I was waiting outside the church and heard her start singing I got goose bumps all over my body. I couldn't believe the moment had finally arrived. I was so overwhelmed with excitement."

Elyse and Radek treated their guests to an irresistible five-tier cupcake tower flavoured with vanilla, raspberry and gluten-free orange and almond from Cake Star. Cupcakes were then packaged in clear boxes for each guest to take home at the end of the night.

The bride carried a posy of roses, lisianthus, freesias and hyacinth in whites and creams. The bridesmaids bouquets were a smaller version of mine with antique roses to match their dresses. Tablecentres were kept simple with fish bowl vases filled with white and cream roses and surrounded by rose petals and tealight candles.
