For either Lucy or Britt, their dreams will come true tonight. Here we talk all things fashion and the show with Lucy Markovic and Brittany Beattie of Australia's Next Top Model, ahead of tonight's finale.
It's down to the final two in this season of Australia's Next Top Model. With impressive guest judge appearances and challenging weekly tasks, Lucy and Brittany reflect over the entire experience.
Congratulations on reaching it this far in the competition. Thinking back over each week, who would you say was your favourite guest judge?
Britt: Definitely would have to be Jean Paul Gaultier, especially since he asked me to come to Paris (laughs). I loved meeting Megan Gale, they were all pretty amazing.
Lucy: Probably Kelly Osbourne. She was really cool, bubbly and very confident. I think I expected her to be a little bit meaner, but when I met her she was really lovely.
Had they given you any advice that you've taken on board?
Britt: Just the whole confidence thing. Any time someone came in they’d say, 'You need to have that confidence!' So that’s definitely the one thing that’s been drummed in to me.
What would you say was your favourite challenge from the series?
Lucy: The chance to go to New York for free. That was such an amazing opportunity.
Britt: After the Colgate and Mazda week, I really needed to push myself and come up with a good photo when I thought I was going to go home. But my whole life is pretty much going to change from now on (laughs). That's probably the best thing about being on the show.
Who are your favourite designers?
Lucy: I love Sass and Bide and Mink Pink, they’re really nice. Colette, they’re cheap and they’ve got so much jewellery. That’s usually where I go if I want quick, easy jewellery (laughs).
Britt: I don’t really know designers that well. I’ve never been a designer person. I just sort of see something that I like. I go for more of an edgy, punky, rocker kind of look, but then sometimes I'm a bit more sporty, and the sometimes a bit gangster (laughs). I'm different everyday, depends on whatever mood I'm in (laughs).
Is there a particular celebrity you love for their fashion sense?
Lucy: I definitely love Kendall Jenner. She’s just around my age and I love her fashion sense. For sure I’d like to emulate her career. She’s so young and she’s already accomplished so much. I’d love to follow in her footsteps.
Britt: I’ve never really followed celebrities. It’s all so new to me. I just do my own thing.
Do you have a winter fashion essential?
Lucy: Probably my high waisted jeans, for sure. I love my crop tops and I love wearing my jeans and crop tops in winter as well (laughs).
Are there any particular fashion trends you're loving at the moment?
Lucy: I do love turtle neck tops. I don't really like those cork platform shoes with all the straps on top. They look like you should wear them around the house and not out in public (laughs).
Regardless of whether you become Australia's Next Top Model, what would you like to achieve in the future?
Britt: Whatever I'm doing, I want to build my own house. I definitely just want to be modelling flat out all over the world, make lots of money, and get on a few billboards here and there so I can have my own house (laughs).
Lucy: Just to keep on working hard and hopefully make a great career out of modelling.
The finale of Series 9 of Australia's Next Top Model airs tonight at 7.30pm, exclusive to FOX8.
