Princess Mary and Family Cover Australian Vogue

The Danish Royal family is offering Australians an intimate view of their lives in an exclusive Australian cover story.

Her Royal Highness  of Denmark Princess Mary, her husband Crown Prince Frederik and the couple's four children are set to grace the glossy pages of Vogue Australia this month.

The stylish royals will appear on the cover of the magazine in a glamorous shoot with high fashion photographer, Mario Testino.

Crown Princess Mary - who hails from Hobart - discussed her passion for gender equality, fashion and her charity work with the magazine.

“I find it difficult to speak of myself as a role model, as role models are defined by the individual. It is what they see in a person that gives meaning or inspiration to them that makes another person a role model for them," she told Vogue.

"It’s not something I consciously think about. But at the same time, I am very aware of my role and my responsibility. If I can inspire others and if others see something in me that can motivate them, then that’s a big compliment."

The Princess' charity, The Mary Foundation, works to combat bullying and domestic violence, but Mary also has an avid interest in sustainable fashion.

The couple's fairytale romance has long been a point of fascination for fans worldwide. Mary and Frederik met at a Sydney bar during the 2000 Olympics.

The pair were married in 2004, and now have four children: Christian, 10, Isabella, 9, and twins Vincent and Josephine, aged 5.
