Nicole Kidman's Cannes looks prove she's a style icon

It's Nicole Kidman's year - on the big screen and on the red carpet!

Nicole Kidman is Queen of Cannes this year, starring in no fewer than four of the festival's highlights.

Two of these films are up for Cannes' top prize, the Palmes d'Or, and Nicole is nominated for the best actress award for her role in The Killing of a Sacred Deer.

During the festival, people will also catch Nic in sci-fi rom-com How to Talk to Girls at Parties, Sofia Coppola's latest drama, The Beguiled, and Foxtel series Top of the Lake: China Girl which, along with the Twin Peaks reboot, is the first ever television show to premiere at Cannes Film Festival.

On top of her on-screen success, Nicole is putting her best foot forward in the fashion stakes too.

Both during photo calls and on the red carpet, few have been able to take their eyes off the dazzling star.

Most recently, Nic strutted the red carpet for The Beguiled along with co-stars Colin Farrell, Kirsten Dunst and Elle Fanning. Looking like a true goddess, she shimmered in a silver tasseled gown by designer Michael Kors.

Earlier that day, during the film's photo call, the 49-year-old looked elegant in a lace Alexander McQueen sun dress while voicing her support for female directors.

"Still only about four percent of women directed the major motion pictures of 2016,” Nicole told the press. "That there says it all. I think that’s an important thing to say and keep saying. Luckily we had Jane Campion and Sofia [Coppola] here."

This is the third time Nicole brought the goods to a day-time photo call, previously rocking a black ruffled dress and a glorious green Dior Haute Couture number.

This isn't the first big designer who fought to clothe Nicole this year. At the How to Tlak to Girls at Parties premiere, Nicole wore a Rodarte sequined dress, along with Christian Louboutin strappy heels and Harry Winston jewellery.

You may also have caught her canoodling with hubby Keith Urban in head-to-toe Calvin Klein earlier in the festival.

Finally, ever the busy woman, Nicole attended the Cannes 70th Anniversary celebration in a luxe-bohemian dress by Armani Prive.

After a few days of press, primping and premieres, we can only hope the Aussie actress is now relaxing with Keith somewhere in the French Riviera, celebrating her phenomenal success. Go, Nic!
