My Celebrity Summer Skin Tips

Presenter, Laura Dundovic, ambassador for skin care brand Skin Doctors, lets us in on how she keeps her skin looking fresh and healthy all year round.

What skin type do you have and what problems do you experience with your skin?



With all the makeup I have to wear for work my skin can get congested if I don't look after it properly.

How does your skin change with the seasons/your lifestyle/your health?



My skin tends to get quite tired with flying and over winter. Skin Doctors Rapid peel is great for this.

What is your daily skin routine?



I start the day by washing my face with Skin Doctors Accelerating Cleanser. It keeps my skin fresh, exfoliated and clean. I then follow this with SkinActive14 Day cream. It has 14 benefits including an spf and anti aging effects which means in the time I would normally just moisturize my skin I am able to do a whole lot more with just one cream. It also goes fantastic under makeup so I use it as a primer before putting on my foundation. I always make sure I wash my face before sleeping. I can’t stress enough how important it is. Trust me start doing it and you will instantly see clearer skin and longer lashes! If I have been doing a lot of travelling and my skin is looking tired I will wash my face with Rapid Peel before bed. This is such a fantastic pick me up! I then finish the day with SkinActive14 Night. Its slightly thicker and I wake up with such a nice glow.

What is the one skin product you couldn’t live without?



Jungle Bronze! It gives the most natural glow on all skin types and doesn't end up all over your clothes!

What tips have you learnt to ensure clear, healthy skin?



My biggest tip is to make sure you wash your make up off every night. I have never slept in it. It congests your skin and can break your lashes!

What makeup tips have you learnt over the years of working on sets and at photo shoots?



I love asking questions so I have learnt a lot! The most important makeup application tip is more is less. Start with a little and build up as desired. Check yourself in natural light before leaving the house (some bathroom mirrors can hide things!) and also check your foundation is blended down your neck. I can’t stress how important primer is! It makes your makeup go on easier and last longer. Taking a translucent powder and putting a bit on the areas that get oily through the day will also stop your makeup from moving.

What diet tips do you have for healthy/clear skin?



I try to drink 2L of water a day and can really see the difference when I do! Sugar is also very bad for aging so if I could give up chocolate I would!

What other tips do you feel have a positive impact on your skin?.



Exercise is really important as is a good skin cleansing routine after!

With summer and party season here, what is your mantra for healthy skin?



Keeping my sun well protected from the sun. As sunscreen can cause a little congestion I make sure I use one made for the face (SkinActive14
