Michelle Bridges Has Spoken About Her Tragic Sexual Assault

"I was adamant to put up the best fight possible."

Michelle Bridges has spoken candidly about being a victim of sexual assault.

At the age of 18, Michelle was violently assaulted in her hometown of Barraba, NSW.

The Biggest Loser delved into the tragic experience on this week's 'No Filter' podcast with Mia Freedman.

The assault took place during the day time when Michelle was enquiring about a job at a local nightclub.

Michelle previously told The Australian Women's Weekly the man interviewing her for the position took her into a room and proceeded to violently sexually assault her.

“I just kept saying to myself, this is not going to happen. This is not going to be my story," she told Mamamia. "I was adamant to put up the best fight possible.”

Michelle, now 45, reported the sexual assault and the perpetrator was eventually jailed, however, she said lawyers and police made a point of asking if Michelle was wearing a short skirt.

"It was actually in court that came up. His lawyer started bringing into the court case what I was wearing," she said.

Michelle writes about the incident and other events of her life in her upcoming autobiography, Make It Happen.
