Met Gala 2017: All the looks from fashion's biggest night

The stars are looking both bizarre and ravishing on the Met Gala red carpet.

Another year, another Met Gala to celebrate achievements in fashion and provide celebs an opportunity to wear the wildest thing in their wardrobes.

This year, the theme is Rei Kawakubo/Commes de Garcon, based on the Japanese designer's exhibition at the Met museum.

Stars like Selena Gomez, Katy Perry, Rihanna and Lena Dunham have all turned up to pay tribute to Rei and strut their stuff up those infamous stairs.

So far, Katy Perry is sporting the most outrageous look of the night, in a voluminous, veiled red dress by designer Maison Margiela.

Red seemed to be a popular colour of the night, an apparent nod to Commes de Garcon's iconic red heart. Emma Roberts, Doutzen Kroes, Lena Dunham, Rose Byrne and more all rocked the dramatic hue.

Meanwhile, a few starlets like Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner, Diane Kruger and Selena Gomez have opted for shimmering, blush and white-toned gowns.

Now, back on the kookier end of the scale, Rihanna really brought the goods again this year. We're not sure what kind of garment she's wearing or how she plans to sit down, but we can confirm her make-up look is fierce!

Kendall Jenner and Bella hadid are also courting more scandal - but of the sartorial kind! In a very sheer dress and jumpsuit, Kendall and Bella are not shy about showing off her figure - and we can't blame them.

Repping the land Down Under, Naomi Watts, Hugh Jackman, Miranda Kerr and Ruby Rose are also in the house at Anna Wintour's request.
