Melissa George Hospitalised in Paris After Alleged Domestic Violence

French media reports claim the Australian actress was allegedly struck on the face by her long-term partner.

Melissa George, 40, has been hospitalised in Paris with bruises on her face after allegedly being abused by her partner, Jean-David Blanc.

The actress, who lives in Paris with Jean-David and their two children, reportedly called the police after being assaulted.

“According to statements by the actress... she was assaulted by her companion, also father of their two children,” French News site M6info reported.

"The police were called last night to intervene in the centre of Paris. In shock, Melissa George, had a swelling of the face and complained of pain, nausea and dizziness."

Melissa was then taken to Cochin Hospital in Paris.

Jean-David was not charged over the alleged incident.

Melissa met 38-year-old Jean-David, the founder of French film company, AlloCiné, in 2011 at a BAFTA afterparty. The pair have two children, Raphael, two, and Solal who is less than one year old.

Melissa got her start in the industry after starring on Home and Away as a teenager. She is most well-known to international audiences for her role in Grey's Anatomy
